The Science of Strawberry Quartz
There are two varieties of pink quartz – Rose Quartz and Strawberry Quartz, but how are they different, and how to tell them apart? Rose Quartz is a light shade of pink and is more translucent. It is colored pink because of inclusions of a pink variety of Dumortierite. Strawberry Quartz is a much darker shade of pink, more opaque, and gets its color from iron oxide inclusions.
**NOTE** This should not be confused with “Cherry Quartz” which is actually a man-made glass product.

Sit in seated meditation, holding the Strawberry Quartz in your less dominant hand to receive its energy. Really feel the support of the cushion or floor beneath you. You are grounded and supported by the Earth’s energies. Imagine yourself surrounded by a vast garden of bright, colorful flowers and are sitting in the warm sunlight. Repeat these words. “I am Happy. I am Relaxed. I am ready to Invite more Joy and Celebration into my Life.” Alternately, hold a Strawberry Quartz mala and chant this mantra 108 times.
