Angelite – (Throat Chakra) – (Zodiac of Aquarius)
This is a stone I have been utterly fascinated with ever since I ran across it about 10 years ago. It has remained a part of my toolbox (and I’ve made alot of jewelry with it) ever since. There is something about the light blue of the sky that is incredibly soothing and comforting to me. It is almost as if, when I hold this stone, I just know that my Angels are supporting me. The Science of Angelite
Angelite is a blue/lilac form of Anhydrite. It actually forms after extended compression over Celestite (another Angelic communication stone)!
Historical Significance of Angelite
This stone was discovered in Peru in 1987, so it is a fairly “new” gemstone.

This is a very calming, soothing stone, so it reduces stress, anxiety, and fear. It is said to relieve afflictions of the throat, such as, sore throats, strep and laryngitis.
Angelite Mantra Practice
Sit in seated meditation, holding the Angelite in your less dominant hand to receive its energy. Really feel the support of the cushion or floor beneath you. You are grounded and supported by the Earth’s energies. Imagine a warm, bright light emanating from the sky and shining over you. Repeat these words. “I am calm. I am safe. I want to contact my Spirit Guides.” Alternately, hold an Agelite mala and chant this mantra 108 times.

I love the idea of an ‘Angel’ stone and how appropriate that it is blue…what’s invisible around us (in the sky, so to speak) can communicate with us, and us with them. I’ve got a lilac-blue stone with paler stripes running through it but I’m not certain it’s Angelite…the power of suggestion will make it so! Lovely post. Thank you.
I am pretty sure the stone you have is Blue Lace Agate. It does have very similar qualities to Angelite and Celestite. Airy and expansive like the sky 🙂
