The Science of Trolleite
This fairly rare gemstone is actually a combination of Quartz, Lazulite and Scorzalite. The amount of these elements in any given specimen will determine the variance of white, sky blue, or dark blue in each sample. It was initially found in the Vastana mine, near Nasum, Skane, Sweden, but can now be found in Rwanda, Australia and Virginia.
