Unakite – (Heart Chakra) – (Zodiac of Scorpio)
Unakite is one of my favorite stones because I love the color combination of green and pink. The mossy green and warm pink provide me with a sense of comfort from the Earth. I also used this stone to make a mala for the birth of my two children. As I held it I felt supported by the natural process of birth and rebirth in the Universe. As it includes both colors of the Heart Chakra, it is a wonderful, but gentle, heart opening stone. The Science of Unakite
This stone is a combination of Feldspar (pink), Epidote (green) and Quartz (white). It is an accessible stone with a really reasonable price range, but not all that commonly used in crystal practices.
Metaphysical Attributes of Unakite
Unakite is a stone of the Heart Chakra. It helps us to balance emotions with our spirituality. This helps to increase and expand compassion for ourselves and others. The mossy green helps to connect us with the earth, so it can be grounding when our emotions become overwhelming. The Earthy nature of the Unakite also encourages a connection with nature. It helps us feel more relaxed and at home while outside and improves gardening skills.
Unakite spiritual properties help us to deepen into meditation and to awaken our intuition, psychic abilities and spiritual visions. Place in your pillow case while you sleep for visionary dreams. As a Heart stone, it allows us to open up to our Inner abilities with a focus on the Higher Good. It helps us realize how to utilize our skills for the benefit of all.

Sit in seated meditation, holding the Unakite in your less dominant hand to receive its energy. Really feel the support of the cushion or floor beneath you. You are grounded and supported by the Earth’s energies. Imagine you are supported by a warm green light emanating from the Earth. A pink light emanates from your Heart. Repeat these words. “I am Supported. I am ready to open to Intuition and to Heal.” Alternately, hold a Unakite mala and chant this mantra 108 times.
