Lepidolite is one of the lesser known gemstones, but it is oh so useful and practical! It is a lovely pink, purple and white sparkly gem. I keep one nearby at all times, because it is so supportive in every day life situations. Whenever life is particularly stressful, I carry a big piece around in my pocket and use it often as a worry stone. The Science of Lepidolite

Lepidolite is a potassium lithium aluminum fluoro-silicate. It is one of the primary sources of the metal lithium. One cannot absorb the lithium by touching the stone, but it likely exudes the energy and vibration of the lithium and contributes to its ability to calm someone holding the stone.

This gemstone is one of the most calming and soothing stones available. This stone is the ultimate stress reliever and lifts depression. It can ease both a person or a whole environment, like a classroom or home. Gridding a space with Lepidolite is helpful during times of anxiety. This gemstone also helps to release addictions, addictive behavior, and obsessive compulsions.

Lepidolite clears negativity and a variety of blockages in one’s life. It activates and clears all chakras from the heart up. It dissolves any blocks in the auric and energetic system. It helps to dissolve emotional and past life blocks that could be preventing you from progressing to your Highest Good. This gemstone also filters electronic pollution, so is great to keep on your desk or around a group of electronics.

Charoite – (Third Eye & Crown Chakras) – (Zodiac of Sagittarius & Scorpio)

This is one of my very favorite new stones.  I learned about it in 2010 and have absolutely adored it ever since.  Purple is my favorite color and this stone has multiple shades! This stone plays with swirls of color, flash and black.  Each piece is different and emits a wonderfully uplifting energy. The Science of Charoite

Charoite comes from only one location, Murun Mountain in Yakutia, Russia. It is a very distinct looking stone with swirls of varying shades of purple and occasionally touched with black. There is sometimes some “flash” or chatoyancy in the stone. It is unmistakable and quite beautiful.

Historical Significance of Charoite

This is a fairly recently discovered stone.  It was initially discovered on the 1940s, but didn’t come to market until the late 1970s.  It has only really become popular as a jeweler’s gem within the last ten years. Geologist’s fear that the exclusivity of its mining location, combined with its new popularity, may soon diminish the supply.

Charoite is most helpful during times of massive change. It helps us to stop, look at a situation as it is, and accept the present moment just as it is. “It is the soul stone that overcomes fear.” It helps us to release overwhelming fear, reduce stress, and enter into a relaxed state.  Often when we are under great stress, we move, move, fix, fix, to try to get rid of the stress, and our actions in this state can aggravate the situation. The Charoite spiritual properties helps us to stop, look at our stressors rationally, and come to acceptance.  Only then can we make wise decisions about how to move forward.

This stone cleanses the aura and fills all chakras with love. It opens the heart to the Divine Love accessed via the Crown and awakens deep compassion. Allows one to understand “negative qualities” and accept others as they are without the need to change.

Malachite is found wherever copper is mined. It is formed when the lime in the water interacts with the copper and slowly creates this beautiful green stone one layer at a time.  (Azurite is also formed with copper this way and hence why Azurite-Malachite stones exist)

Malachite is one of the oldest power stones.  Ancient Egyptians used Malachite often in amulets and in headdresses believing that it would help them think clearly and rule wisely.  The Egyptian Book of the Dead mentions green stones raining from the heavens, so they used Malachite to connect with the energies of Heaven. The Egyptians also ground it up to use as a cosmetic, paint, and dye.
