Dalmatian Stone is a gemstone I have been working with for years and have it as an integral part of my Crystal Healing toolkit. This is a stone with unique qualities that are vital when dealing with current professional pressures and expectations. Science of Dalmatian Stone

Dalmatian Stone is most commonly called Dalmatian Jasper, but it is not a Jasper at all! This rock is a mixture of Feldspar (light parts) and Arfvedsonite (black parts). At Mohs 6, it is also softer than Jasper (Mohs 7). This stone is readily available and very affordable. It is often sold in a variety of colors, but just know (because of its softer and more porous nature) that all those various colors are DYED. There are no natural blue, pink or green Dalmatian stones.

Historical Significance of Dalmatian Stone

Dalmatian Stone was discovered in Chihuahua, Mexico, and derived its name because the miners thought it resembled the spots on a Dalmatian dog. It has historically been used as a protection stone in necklaces, talisman and amulets.

Dalmatian Stone’s unique spiritual attribute is its ability to help us tap into our Inner Child and find time to Play! There are so many pressures on adults and often we drown in work, social and parenting responsibilities which leave us feeling tired and worn at the end of the day. Of course those responsibilities are important, but we must have time to recharge and recuperate. Dalmatian Stone help us find time to tap into the pleasures and fun in life. It encourages spontaneity and whimsy. This is an excellent stone to connect with your children and have time enjoying the world and playing together.

It is those same adult pressures that can leave us pondering, “What is the point of life anyway?” The Dalmatian Stone spiritual properties help us tap into what it truly means to be a human and why we have incarnated in this life. It helps us see past daily chores, bills, commutes to work, and grocery shopping to realize the wonder of experiencing human life. It allows us to take time to “smell the roses”, enjoy that cup of coffee in the morning, take a deep breath during a walk outside, and appreciate the present moment. Dalmatian Stone reminds us that connection, love, compassion, and gratitude will help us actualize the purpose of life.

Dalmatian Stone is also a very protective stone. The dark spots stimulate the protection qualities of the Root Chakra and its connection to Earth energy and support. It is especially protective of children. It helps them feel safe during difficult times, while facing fears, wards off nightmares, and helps them handle change. If your child is in need of some extra security during a challenging time, have them carry or wear Dalmatian Stone. It will also protect adults who are in therapy working through childhood issues and traumas. This stone allows adults to feel secure while exploring Inner Child energies.

Science of Stichtite

Stichtite is a gorgeous pink / lilac colored stone that was discovered in Tasmania, Australia. It can be found elsewhere in the world, but is primarily mined in Dundas, Australia. It is also found in deposits with Serpentine, and the combined specimen are known as “Atlantisite” (aka Stichtite in Serpentine). It was named after Robert Sticht, the director of a mining corporation at the time of discovery.

Amazonite Spiritual Properties: Stone of Soothing & Harmony

Amazonite – (Heart & Throat Chakra) – (Zodiac of Virgo)

Amazonite is a really gorgeous stone with such a beautiful color. The sea-green contributes to its soothing and comforting nature. The only other gemstones with a similar color are Aquamarine and Turquoise, but Amazonite is the most reasonably priced of the three. The appearance of the stone itself varies based on its mine location. Some samples are soft, smooth, and even shimmery (like the stone on the right in the picture above). Other variations of Amazonite are a deeper blue-green with very noticeable, white albite stripes in it (like the stone of the left). The Science of Amazonite

This gemstone is a microcline feldspar and its blue-geen color comes from trace amounts of lead in the microcline. Some samples of Amazonite display the Schiller effect with is a shimmery, iridescent flash in the light.

Historical Significance of Amazonite

This stone was formally discovered in Brazil the late 1700s by Alexander von Humboldt. This gemstone adorned the tribes people of the Amazon jungle region and was therefore named Amazonite. It has been been used around the world for at least 4000 years. It was very popular in Ancient Egypt. Part of the Egyptian Book of the Dead was scribed on Amazonite, and the gemstone was also found among the treasures of Tutankhamen’s tomb.

Amazonite is a stone of peace and helps create harmony within and externally in our relationships. It encourages balance in all aspects of our life. This stone’s energy aligns the body with spirit to create physical balance and improve health. It equalizes masculine and feminine energies. Amazonite is a soothing and stress reducing gemstone. It dispels frustration and irritation, and calms a frantic mind. If you have a stressful lifestyle, use this gemstone to improve work/life balance, to discover and define boundaries, and to release pent-up frustration and stress. Those who have difficulty falling asleep due to a “busy mind” would benefit from sleeping with Amazonite in their pillowcase, or on the nightstand.

This gemstone helps to heal from trauma and reduces fear and worry associated with post-tramatic stress disorder. The Amazonite spiritual properties encourage hope and confidence while recovering from difficult situations. This is a heart and throat chakra stone, so it boosts compassion for oneself and others, along with providing the strength to stand up for your own needs. Amazonite spiritual properties are incredibly effective at filtering. It filters electronic, environmental, and spiritual pollution. Also a great gemstone to wear if you are traveling by airplane as we encounter a myriad of germs, chemicals, security scanners, and energetic energies during airport travel.

This gemstone is soothing, so it is great for stress reduction. Its filtering effects make this a good stone to wear during detox cleanses or if you’re having liver problems.

This crystal is by far the one I use the most. It combines powerfully with every other stones and is a magnificent amplifier for Reiki healing. Whenever I send out distance Reiki, I add Clear Quartz to my Reiki name box to enhance the effects. I also add one bead of Clear Quartz to all of my healing gemstone bracelets to boost the effects of the primary stone. I have multiple pieces (tumbled, rough, wands, etc.) and some is always within reach! The Science of Clear Quartz

Quartz includes a very large family of gems. In fact, it is the most common mineral on Earth! For this reason it has been called “the Grandfather of all Gems.” Although this article is about the Clear variety, quartz also includes Amethyst, Citrine, Rose, Smoky, Snow, Agate, Chalcedony, Aventurine, and many, many more. Quartz is used in watches and radios because it can produce electromagnetic energy when under physical pressure (piezoelectricity).

Quartz is said to be named after the Slavic word for ‘hard’, but also the Greek word for ‘ice’. Clear Quartz is also known as Rock Crystal. Clear Quartz has been revered for ages. Crystal balls were used for scrying and divination. Japanese cultures considered Quartz a symbol for purity. Native American cultures believed that Quartz housed sentient spirits and would provide them with offerings. In fact, in Central and South America, Clear Quartz was carved into the shape of skulls to represent the spirits within.

Quartz is well known for being able to amplify, store, and direct the flow of energy. The amplification aspect is extremely useful. It can amplify our intentions, so using Clear Quartz during intention setting rituals, moon phase ceremonies, and while creating vision boards will give extra power for those intentions to grow and manifest. Clear Quartz spiritual properties can be combined with other gemstones to amplify their effects. If you really need “extra” of what a crystal provides, pair it with Quartz for an additional boost.

Clear quartz is an amazing cleanser for our energy, aura, chakras, and physical body. It helps to raise our personal vibration and dissolve blockages that are creating imbalances. This stone inherently knows what we need to be Whole and works to correct the source of illness. The amplification property works especially well for healers as it can boost the effective of the treatment. I use Clear Quartz whenever I am working with Reiki clients to enhance the power of the Reiki energy.

Clear Quartz is a perfect gem for working with and developing metaphysical abilities. It helps clear distractions during meditation, so one can listen deeper and open the Crown Chakra up to receive information from our guides, angels, Higher Self and the Universe. If you are trying to expand your psychic abilities, include Clear Quartz in your practices to relax your energy, dissolve energetic or emotional barriers, and be more receptive to the messages.

Finally, this crystal records the energy it comes in contact with and it can be released or “read” at a later time. It helps to form a conduit to our past lives to help with karmic and soul healing as it holds a memory of “all that was.” This gemstone can be charged with an energy or intention to be used later on. The stone can be filled with the intention of courage, for example, if you have an upcoming event that frightens you. Then you can hold the stone during the event and receive the boost of confidence and courage.

This recording feature of Quartz has said to be responsible for a large amount of hauntings across the world. If a property was built on land laden with Quartz material, it will record the life history of that building and replay it long after the events have ceased.
